FALL LEAGUE and Golf Exposure Clinics

League Play for girls only welcomes all girls to play on a weekly basis with other girls of comparable age and skill level.

Golf Exposure Clinics give girls a chance to try out golf in a hands-on way.  Not to replace a good set of golf lessons, members have the chance to work with accredited LPGA and PGA teaching professionals.

Reservations required for all events, and EVENT REGISTRATION FEE is required for non-Members.

Each clinic is about 90-minutes in length plus an additional 30 minutes for girls to check in with the LPGA Girls Golf Site Director prior to the start of the clinic.  During the pre-clinic meeting, girls have a chance to meet other girl golfers, learn a little about the game of golf, golf culture, and most important, golf safety and etiquette.
SEE EVENT CALENDAR BELOW FOR DATES.

All players must have a bag and at least 3 clubs.
Level 1:  New golfer - Very little or no on-course experience.  Play 5 to 9 holes with no score, just respect for "pace of play".  May tee from mid-fairway.
Level 2:  Able to play hole 125 yards from green.  May keep score for 9-holes; must maintain pace of play.  May tee from mid-fairway.
Level 3:  Average between 65-75 for 9 holes on a regulation course.  Report score for 9-holes or pace of play for 18-holes
Level 4:  Average between 55-64 for 9 holes on a regulation course.  Report scores for 9-holes.
Level 5:  Play 18 holes with a score of 110 or better on a regulation course.  Report all scores.

League Philosophy

The game of golf is best enjoyed on the golf course.  Girls new to the game are encouraged to play 5 holes while respecting the pace of play, and to have FUN!   This league provides girls the opportunity to sharpen their game in an organized, girl-only golf league.  Open only to members of LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Northern Virginia.

To become a member of LPGA Girls Golf of Northern Virginia please visit
http://www.girlslovegolf.com

All players agree to respect the “pace of play” at each golf course.  Greens fees are paid at the start of the league and vary by course.  Fees are consistent with the greens fees in effect at each golf course.

Substitute players are welcome and must be LPGA Girls Golf members and indicate they wish to play as a Substitute to be part of this league.

Players should not hesitate to inform the Site Director when ready to advance to the next level, even if during mid-season.  Adjustments to level/age requirements will be made as needed to ensure all girls enjoy the experience.

Parent volunteers are always welcome.

There are three all-girl golf leagues [Spring, Summer, Fall] open to members of LPGA Girls Golf of Northern Virginia.  The goal of each league is to help girls practice their game, make friends and sample competition in a positive learning environment.  Each league has four divisions enabling girls to play with other girls of similar age and skill level.  Teams play once per week for 6-8 weeks.  All players must have a bag and at least 3 clubs.  Most leagues will play  on Saturdays or Sundays after 3pm.
